An important and often neglected part of an implementation of project management tools or an improvement of project processes is training. To start with, the focus of the training need to be clear. Is it a project methodology training, a tools training or both? Should it align with the current procedures within the organization or should it be more generic? In some cases, i.e. project management skills, generic training is a good start. Ino ther, i.e. project team member training, the ROI is much faster if the training is aligned with processes and pin-points areas of immediate value.
